Thomas Sydney Knights

  General Notes:

Even though both the parish register for his baptism and the 1881 and 1891 census both showing his name as Sidney Thomas Knights subsequent records show Thomas Sidney (or Sydney) Knights.

He left the UK on 4 November 1897 from the port of London bound for Calcutta, India on the ship Coromandel.

Thomas and Alice had 3 children - Lilian Mary Knights (born 15 April 1906 & baptised 30 June 1906 both at Howrah, Bengal, India), Charles Douglas Knights (born 19 December 1909 and baptised 29 January 1910 both at Howrah, Bengal, India) and Thomas Henry Knights (born 1 April 1908 & baptised 28 May 1908 both at Howrah, Bengal, India).

Thomas returned to London on 4 May 1928 after departing from Calcutta, India on board the ship the SS Nayoga.
