Sarah married Thomas Artis, son of Joshua Artis and Sarah Sandals, on 21 June 1787 in Athelington, Suffolk. (Thomas Artis was born in 1767 in Manchester, Lancashire, baptised on 16 August 1767 in Collegiate Church, Manchester, Lancashire, died in 1822 in Rishangles, Suffolk and was buried on 17 November 1822 in Rishangles St Margaret Church, Suffolk.)

  Noted events in their marriage were:
