Samuel never married and on death his effects of under £200 passed to his brother John Bloomfield of Holton St Mary, Suffolk.
Samuel was a witness at Eliza Pipe (nee Bloomfield) wedding to George Finney at St Clements Church, Ipswich on 23 July 1865. Eliza Lambert (nee Hammond) was the other one.
